Dr. Burnett considers himself a traditional internist. He has over 20 years of experience and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He graduated from the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine in 1992 and completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. There he worked both at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas VA Medical Center. After a few years in Dallas, he returned to the University of Oklahoma’s faculty. He was honored to receive the highest teaching awards at both the University of Oklahoma and UT Southwestern. He moved back to Texas in 2005 and joined the Baylor Health Care System as a hospitalist. In 2011 he joined HealthCore Physicians Group where he practices today.
In his spare time, Dr. Burnett enjoys gardening, cooking, and ballroom dancing with his wife Sophia.
